Super quick post here but we DESPERATELY wanted to share news of the new Holly Bourne novella, which has just been announced by Usborne!
Holly Bourne’s Spinster Club series is possibly my VERY favourite ongoing contemporary YA sequence – Am I Normal Yet? and How Hard Can Love Be? are completely amazing, and What’s A Girl Gotta Do? is one of my most-anticipated books of the second half of the year. The just-announced novella, which sees the three central characters reunited at a New Year’s Eve party, comes out on 1st November and I’ll definitely be buying some copies of the hardback (I don’t think the above cover is finalised yet, but I’m sure that it will be GORGEOUS) as Christmas presents!
There are so many things I love about this series, but one of the key things for me is that it’s a trilogy which – although it includes romance – is firmly focused on the fabulous friendship between the girls of the Spinster Club. Another is that the books are fantastic feminist reads, and the main characters are brilliantly relatable! They’re also really funny reads; both of the first two have kept me glued to the page all the way through and I’m sure both book three and the novella will do the same thing!
Have you read any of the Spinster Club series? (If not, I’d highly recommend catching up before the release of What’s A Girl Gotta Do?, Lottie’s story, on 1st August!) If you have, share your excitement for the upcoming novella on Twitter with hashtag #spinsterclub!
